The 4 C’s

The 4 C’s of diamonds are cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. When choosing a diamond, it is critical to understand the importance of each. At D & P, we aim to deliver you with the optimal diamond, at a price you can afford. For that reason, we use near colorless H-I color diamonds and SI quality diamonds.

1. Cut: The most important aspect of a diamond. The quality of the cut determines how captivating a stone is to the naked eye. Cut types include round brilliant, xprincess, cushion, oval, and more

2. Color: The range of the diamond’s hue, from colorless to light yellow or light brown.

3. Clarity: The type of inclusions seen in a diamond. Diamonds without inclusions are very rare.

4. Carat Weight: The weight of a diamond is measured in carats (metric). The carat weight determines the size of the stone.
